Tourist Attractions

Delhi's history is so old that it comes from mythology than written history. Recorded history proves that at least eight different cities have been established here. For ages, several governors and their followers have left their mark on Delhi in the form of several architectural jewels of enormous value both historical and social.

Red Fort

Red Fort (Red Fort) is located beside the river Yamuna as an irregular octagon, surrounded by a wall of about 2.4 km in circumference and is built of red sandstone. Shah Jahan, the Mughal emperor, changed the capital from Agra to Delhi and the fort was completed in 1648. The strong two main entrances, the Delhi Gate (Delhi Gate) and the gate of Lahore (Lahori Gate) which is opposite the famous market called Chandni Chowk. It has two rooms, the Diwan-e-am, and Diwan-e-Khas where the king attended the public and important people respectively. Another attraction is the Light and Sound show (a show of lights and sound).

Qutab Minar

This beautiful structure located in the southern part of the capital was built by a Muslim King, Qutub-ud-din Aibak in 1199 D. C. Another king named Iltumish completed a part of this, which could not finish first in their lifetime. The tower is 72.5 meters high and a mosque as a basis. Faced with the imposing structures, there is an iron pillar that was supposedly built in the V century and has not been eroded so far.

India Gate

Go straight to the President House (the President's house), is the India Gate (the gate of India) which is basically a monument to the memorial. Designed by Lutyens, this structure is 42 meters high monument of the fallen in World War II. It has an eternal flame called Amar Jawan Jyoti to honor the unknown soldiers.

Jantar Mantar

In Connaught Place is the Jantar Mantar, an observatory built by Sawai Jai Singh, the Rajput king of Jaipur, in 1724. It is assumed that is made of masonry tools to observe the movements of stars and planets.
